NTEP approved scales are generally considered those scales which are intended by the manufacturer for use in commercial applications when goods are sold by weight. NTEP
Approved is also known as Legal for Trade or complies with Handbook 44. When selecting a NTEP Approved Scale the weighing device must also be suitable to the applications and you can learn more here. We always recommend you check with your Weights & Measures Inspector for which scale they will accept before making your scale purchase. Simply call the inspector with the model number and the Certificate of Conformance (CofC #) listed on our web site to confirm they will accept your selection.
NTEP Approved Scales are categorized as Class I, Class II or Class III and we explain more here. We offer a huge selection of NTEP approved weighing instruments for varies weighing applications.
Medical marijuana is now on the books in 22 states. Every state has different requirements and some states will accept the smaller division either "d" and "e" while other states will only evaluate "e".
